Art has always been my only career path since birth, the one thing I was best at. However, I never went past traditional art since all I really saw at the time were hyper realistic paintings. That was where I wanted to be, able to paint a portrait completely indistinguishable from the real thing. As I got better at that, art started to get boring.
I knew the rules so why not break them? Bend and twist them into beautifully mangled crimes of artistic passion. After all, anything can be art, so why not push the limits? Mixing acrylics and watercolors, painting on the backs of canvases, creating art from discarded materials, and broken things. Just a little bit of added texture and a few tweaks can turn something into a new beautiful creation.
